What we collect, and what we don’t

When you send an enquiry

The wholesale and rights forms ask for your name, company, email address and your message. The “tell me when it’s out” form on a book page asks for a name and an email address only.

Submitting a form sends those fields to Web3Forms, which turns them into an email and delivers it to the Blossom Books inbox. Web3Forms passes the message on; it is not a mailing list and we do not have an account with anyone who builds marketing audiences.

We use what you send to answer you, and for the ordinary business record of a conversation we have had. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else. We keep enquiry email for as long as the business relationship is live, and clear out old correspondence periodically.

Every form carries a hidden field that people never see and automated spam scripts fill in. If it comes back filled, the message is discarded. That is the only automated judgement made about anything you send.

When you book a meeting at a fair

Meeting slots are run by Cal.com. The booking calendar is embedded on our book fairs page but the booking itself is made with Cal.com, under their privacy policy. What you type into it — your name, your email, anything you add about what you want to discuss — goes to Cal.com and comes back to us as a calendar invitation.

The calendar is not loaded when the page opens. It is fetched only if you scroll to it, so simply reading the page contacts Cal.com not at all. If you would rather not use it, the same page offers a plain email link, and that reaches the same people.

Cookies

This site sets none. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Two exceptions, both of which only happen if you choose to use the thing that causes them: the Cal.com booking calendar may set cookies of its own once you open it. Neither is used by us to follow you anywhere.

Visitor numbers

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count how many people visit and which pages they read. It is cookieless, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not track you across other websites. We see totals — “this many people looked at the catalogue” — and not individuals.

Our host, Cloudflare, also keeps short-lived server logs including IP addresses, as any web host does, for security and to keep the site up.

Where this leaves you

Write to ajacob@blossombooksllc.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. There is no form for this and no account to log into — an email to a person is the whole process, and we will come back to you within a month.

If you are in the UK or the European Union you have those rights under the GDPR, and the lawful basis we rely on is our legitimate interest in answering the enquiry you chose to send us. If you would rather we had never received it, say so and it goes.

Children

We make books for children. This site is not for them — it is a trade catalogue aimed at publishers, buyers and readers doing the buying. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.

Changes

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it and the date below moves. We do not keep an archive of previous versions; if that matters to you, ask and we will tell you what it used to say.
